PRAY FOR SNOW BONFIRE 2005

Burn Baby Burn

The Fourth Annual Pray for Snow Bonfire was held at Pacifica Beach and was the largest turnout to date. We blend Oktoberfest fare with the pagan ritual of sacrificing skis and other items to the Norweigian God of Snow, Ullr, to ensure a bountiful snowfall for the winter.

We've had some mishaps in the past. Year 1, we had fireworks and threw a bunch into the fire and ended up dodging them. Year 2, Dino set his glove and a gas can on fire. Year 3, we held the bonfire at Ocean Beach and were accosted by beach patrol and had to stop drinking alcohol. This year, I got a bit too close to the fire and singed my hair and eyebrows. I can't wait for next year.

A good group of crazies showed up again
Dave and Dylan disappointed there were no fireworks

Brats, beer, smoked salmon, cheese. Mmmm.
Getting the skis ready for sacrifice

Alain makes his offer of a ski
And Shilpa does the same

Susan offers up a bra
I offer up my hair
